Retroactive Stop Loss Special Pay Deadline Extended

The deadline to claim Retroactive Stop Loss Special Pay (RSLSP) has been extended to October 21, 2011. RSLSP is part of the 2009 War Supplemental Appropriations Act, which authorized pay of $500 for every month/partial month served in stop loss status.

Service members, veterans, and beneficiaries of service members who were involuntarily extended under stop loss between September 11 and September 30, 2009 are eligible. The average benefit is $3,700.
