If you could give just one piece of career advice to a transitioning military professional, what would it be?

I recommend that you have a general idea of what you would like to do when you get out, and do the research to find out if that is actually a viable option in the civilian market. Some people I talk to have unrealistic expectations of the civilian world based on one friend they know in the field, as opposed to actual research they’ve conducted.

What do you like most about working at Orion?

The thing I like most about working at Orion is helping people to realize their potential, especially if they have been previously discouraged in their job search.

Please share one interesting fact that you would like candidates to know.

I spent six months volunteering for a non-profit organization when I first left the military, which I thought I would do for the rest of my life. When I decided that it was no longer for me, I didn’t have a Plan B, and I liked the way that Orion helped me in the job search so much that I decided to join their team.
