U.S. Hiring Managers Expect to Hire More in the Second Half of 2016

Good news for all the job seekers out there, US hiring managers are expected to hire more in the second half of 2016. According to the semi-annual hiring survey released by job board operator and leading provider of data insights, DHI Group Inc., the survey found 61% of hiring managers and recruiters in the US anticipated more hiring in the second half of the year.

What does this mean? Hiring managers in the US are prepared to hire more professionals before the end of the year. Employers hiring across many industries intend to hire 30 percent more professionals in the second half of the year compared to the first half of the year. To get there, hiring managers need to build a pipeline of candidates to fulfill their companies’ hiring needs.

Another plus - not only are hiring managers amping up their hiring plans for the second half of the year - the back half of 2016 is looking like it will result in higher wages. According to CareerBuilder’s midyear Job Forecast, more than half of employers will raise wages for current employees, while 2 in 5 will offer higher starting salaries on job offers in the second half of the year.
